The AFI website gets a lot of traffic. This shows there is an abundance of interest in Aniridia and related vision conditions. We track page visits only for statistical purposes to show there IS a demand for useful information about Aniridia. The figures below reflect data since page visit tracking began in mid April 2009. Note that these figures are based upon UNIQUE visits, meaning repeat visits to the same pages by the same computer are NOT counted.

Goal of the Website:

The primary goal of the website is to support the Aniridia Foundation International organization with a strong Internet support center. This allows us to host an "always available" public information area as well as services for our Membership. It also helps us to distribute materials with less paper waste and cost by making this information available in forms and downloadable files for those with Internet access.

We strive to provide the most accurate and up to date information as we can. Because the website contains data from a wide variety of sources, it is possible that there may be errors in the material. We also realize that different people will have different needs, experiences, and results. So we provide the information with the express notice that people should use the material with care and always consult qualified medical professionals when making any health related decisions.
